These little guys arrived by mail yesterday. They are painted lady butterfly larva. Their names are: Fred, Shorty, Old Man Jenkins, Rex and Motor Head. They are Da' Butters and they will rock your world.
Ya know, I've heard of the Da' Butters Gang! They are legendary in these parts. Fred, Rex and Shorty are OK, but watch your back when Old Man Jenkins is around. Motorhead? Fuhgetaboutit.

Very cool. What is your plan for the Butters? When they start to fly, I mean.
We are going to plant flowers so they stay close to us when we let them go.
Good plan. I'm sure they will love to live in your backyard -- it's great there!
